ATCs part 1

Some weeks ago I got some new rubberstamps and other creative supplies.. So I made some more new ATCs which I wanted to share with you. Please tell me, which of the ones do you like most? It would be great to get a feedback of you.

Artistic saturday

Last week I got my ATC workshop book. And today I wanted to try a little bit. I took the first easy steps, but seems I failed. It looks too

cute and too childish in my eyes. Well, I guess it'll be getting better with the time. I painted with water colors. On the one pic (with the banana) I tried to see something in it, and that were.... bananas.. ;)

Last week I also drawed some zentangles again which I wanted to share with you again. :) I hope you like them. I wanted to use them for envelopes, but it is so hard to send them out. ;) I hope the one who'll receive those will know how much love I put in those.

Tomorrow I want to try to do some more atcs, but this time with vintage pics. I hope those will look better. If you still like and want some of ATCs that I made today, please tell me, I can send those to you. :D

Envelopes in another design and the start of a yahoo group

Lately I looked in the in the Internet for some nice ideas for art. On that way I also bought myself a new book for ATCs which hopefully will arrive in the next few days. And while I ordered this book I found out about another kind of art which made me really interested. It is Zentangle®. I already tried it for some envelopes that I made. :) Does anybody of you already knew about it and make those little pictures?

Hopefully not our last geocaching day

Last weekend before the big rain we made a last tour with our GPS.. It has some problems to run correctly and no it is on the way to get repaired. I hope we'll get it back soon.

The little geocaching tour we made near Hastenbeck this time. All caches weren't very hard to find. But the last one was a bit more difficult. You had to move a little ball through a maze to get the logbook. That was a nice idea.
I hope this wasn't our last cache. If you go geocaching what kind of GPS do you use? Ours still had a guarantee, but I don't know if we'll get it back.

This year we didn't had so much luck with geocaching on these holidays.. :( Yesterday we planned the geocaching tour for Fynns birthday. It is about 6 km long and we planned 11 stations (for 11 years). When we planned all places I found out that another owner of a mystery cache placed some stages on the same places, so we had to go this round today.

First we made three mysteries we solved last night. They were easy to find. Volker was climbing a bit ;) oh and not to forget, we hadn't so much luck with the weather. It was very wet (in the morning it was raining for a long time) and there were a lot of ticks running. I guess we had around 20 ticks on our clothes and Volker had one under his socks. I hate ticks!!! Well, more about the geocache.

The mystery we had to do had 9 stations. The first 7 were very easy to make. But the way to stage 8 was very steep and muddy, so it wasn't easy with the stroller. And we searched for the stage for about 30 minutes. :( No luck and no hint from other cachers helped. :( But we got the finale coordinated from them, so we'd know the last stage. Now we know that we have to delete 3 of the stages we had planned, but I already found new places. :D

Envelopes and bookmarks

Lately I recognized that I really need new envelopes. Well, some I created of old pages of a gothic magazine (with steampunk), but those already went out, so I can't make pics of it. But I also used my rubberstamps again and made some envelopes again. This is the result, (which one do you like most? I like the geisha one):

And I also made some bookmarks myself. If you'd like to have one for yourself, please tell me.. I still have some more colours left. How do you like them?

 

Geocaching in April and May

I didn't post anything for a while now. Maybe it was, because we were geoaching so much lately. ;) This April was my best month ever. I found 60 caches in April. We had some really nice rounds, like a fairytale round, some multis in Bodenwerder, more caches in Bad Pyrmont and some multis through a forest close to Hameln. The one that I liked most was a "submarine", it was in a little river and as it is early in spring, it was also under water. Sadly some "geocachers" (kids and their parents) took the logbook with them. But it was good that there was an extra logbook for those who couldn't sign in the submarine. Here you can see some of the geocaches we have found:

Creative weekend

This weekend I was busy writing letters (yeah, I got to "0", this has never happed this year) and I made some atcs for a pal in the Netherlands. This time we thought of taking the themes "purple + black", "Valentines Day" (yes, I know I'm very late with that :( ) and "Supernatural". As our printer doesn't work in the moment, we really need a new one, I had some problems with the theme Supernatural.. how can I make it without printed pictures. If you know the series, what do you think, would you know that this is a "Supernatural" atc?
As you might have heard, I want to start an atc yahoo group with my pal? Who would be interested in it? I think I'll make it concrete in the next few weeks. It has been ages since I runned my own last yahoo group. 

Meeting rats and cockroaches

We had such lovely weather this weekend and today. It was cold but we had so much sunshine. At the weekend we visited our first medieval faire for this year. It was the "Mystica Hamelon" in Hameln. And I must say, that I liked even more than the last years. :D
Okay, we only walked over the faire without eating or drinking anything, but we heard some nice music (one of the musicians was an old friend of us, we never expected to see again) and the stalls were really nice. But they didn't need the pirates again.

As it was such nice weather today again we decided to make a little geocaching this late afternoon. Said and done, we found 5 caches. :D Two of them had something to do with animals. In one cache was cockroach (iiihhhh) and in another was rat which was really hard to touch. It felt strange, but it was a really nice kind of cache. It was in hole in the path, like a hole in the canalization. But it wasn't. Two of the caches were a part of a forest round, which we'll end hopefully this month, too.

Envelopes part 2 and winter is going

I know I haven't written anything in the last few months. :( We didn't go geocaching and we were very busy lately with birthdays. The winter is still here, but the snow is finally melting. I have to say, that I don't want to see it anymore. Normally I'm a winter person, but this year we had enough snow and the spring could come. I want to go out for some geocaching. ;) But here are still some pics of our winter:

Today I started to make some envelopes again. In the moment I'm much behind with my mail. I try to answer them in the next weeks. For my birthday I got a great book from Volker and I already had some inspirations from it. Here are the envelopes I have made.. :) More will follow..
