Throw the negative energy away and do some crafts

This weekend wasn't really my weekend. I was very down, but I tried to find my lost energy for some crafty things. And those were again some pocket letters which I tried. One of them I made for Ulrike (my pal). The yellow colors really brought some positive energy back. The purple one I made today. This one has no new owner yet. ;)

And this week the mailman also brought a lovely pocket letter for me from dear Ulrike. Isn't it great?  totally love it and of course all the things in it as well. :D Thaaanks a lot!!!

My next projects will be the vases to turn them into shabby chic and this table. Wish me luck that everything goes well.

Mail Art

I always wanted to start with mail art. So I wrote down my addy on the blog and group "Mail me some art". And in the last weeks I received some lovely cards from mail artist from the US.

And yesterday I finally made some postcards for them. :) I hope they'll like them. If you ever want to make a mail art swap with, just tell me. :) What do you think of my mail art?

Busy bees in November

The last days we were very busy when it comes to decoration or making cookies. So I haven't found any time to make an atc (sad, but true). I already miss it. But the result of our christmas cookies will help with it. Lots of sweet nice cookies like cinnamon snakes, kind of Lebkuchen cookies, snow caps with chocolate, ... This year we've mostly tried new cookies (I found a nice receipe book in the grocery store for only 2,20 € for 150 receipes).

And of course I started to decorate our flat. As we have a new shelf, I needed some decorations to put in, so I went to Depot. They really have great stuff. Volker was there, too, and he wondered why I hadn't the basket full after 20 min. I could have bought everything, but I had to stop myself, so I only bought two nice candle glasses and some nice stuff for our candle holder. :) I cannot wait to put all our lights on after this next weekend. :)

Day 2

And of course I also made some crafting things, but those are not very special I bought myself a new book "One zentangle a day". Sure, I cannot make it everyday, but I want to make pictures of my "daily" zentangle and want to show it here. May one or two of you would like to start with this great hobby, too. :) Or maybe I already infected someone with zentangles?  For those zentangles I'll
only took a notebook to draw in. It should become my workbook.

Day 1

I also made two holders, one for my zentangles and one for atcs. Now I can take those everywhere. Well, the ATC holder should be a bit bigger, so that more ATCs can fit in, but I only had a 1 cm smaller piece of paper, so it'll be used a bit different.







And lately I ordered some nice stuff like ink pads from Tim Holtz, rubberstamps and stationary. Look what I got today. :D Bought at stampingfairies.de (right one) and stationaryheaven.nl (left one).

Creative saturday during this heat

This heat makes me crazy. :( How could it get so hot in Germany, I want the 25°C!!! You couldn't go outside and go geocaching. This month we only found only some few caches, so I hope the August will be better. There you can get a souvenir everyday. :D I hope we can make it!

But I used this day for being a bit creative again and using my new rubberstamps. This time I didn't make any ATCs, but I made some envelopes and stationary again. So here are the results:

Some weeks ago I got some new rubberstamps and other creative supplies.. So I made some more new ATCs which I wanted to share with you. Please tell me, which of the ones do you like most? It would be great to get a feedback of you.

Envelopes in another design and the start of a yahoo group

Lately I looked in the in the Internet for some nice ideas for art. On that way I also bought myself a new book for ATCs which hopefully will arrive in the next few days. And while I ordered this book I found out about another kind of art which made me really interested. It is Zentangle®. I already tried it for some envelopes that I made. :) Does anybody of you already knew about it and make those little pictures?

Envelopes and bookmarks

Lately I recognized that I really need new envelopes. Well, some I created of old pages of a gothic magazine (with steampunk), but those already went out, so I can't make pics of it. But I also used my rubberstamps again and made some envelopes again. This is the result, (which one do you like most? I like the geisha one):

Multis and Art

Today I was geocaching with someone I've never met before. We only knew us through emails as I once discovered their car. :) And today we decided to go geocaching together for the first time and it was so much fun. I've found 3 traditional that she already had, but together we managed to complete two multi caches. They were taking us at places we've never been before or I saw so many times, but never really realized them. Here you can see some places where we've been. :)

And in the morning while I was waiting to go into town, I draw this picture. I saw a link to this kind of drawing yesterday on facebook and it was such a nice idea that I had to try it. And this is the result. I'm not a good drawer but this was kind of fun and easy. :D
